Home in Macao is a documentary film seven years in the making, focusing on the true stories of eleven ordinary people from Macao's diverse communities — including business innovators, martial arts inheritors, arts workers, and city builders. Through intimate, close-up "small lens" portrayals of their everyday struggles and lives, the film offers a sweeping "wide-angle" view of the social changes that have taken place in Macao over more than two decades since its return to the motherland. While documenting real individuals and their life trajectories, the film vividly reflects the successful practice of "One Country, Two Systems" in Macao, embodying the Macao people's growing sense of national identity, their love for the country and Macao, and their pride in the Chinese nation.
