Middle-school students Yangyang and Xiaomin stumble upon a mysterious golden mask of ancient Shu origin during a self-drive trip. The mask can instantly recharge their car's battery — and immediately draws two rival factions of shadowy forces, one bent on seizing it and the other secretly protecting it. The two are swept into a millennia-old conflict and, at the Sanxingdui archaeological site, accidentally trigger the mask's owner-recognition protocol, making them the key to breaking the deadlock. Guided by the mask, they are transported back to the ancient Shu kingdom, where they witness breathtaking wonders including a nuclear fusion device modeled on the mythical golden crow. Just as the long-dormant ancient Shu capital is about to reawaken, an earth-shattering catastrophe arrives without warning.
